Chandra Alexandre, Chief Executive Officer of Community Action Marin, is a seasoned nonprofit executive and fund development professional with over 15 years of experience supporting organizations to social justice outcomes. Her work has helped strengthen regional affordable housing and early childhood education initiatives, expand education reform strategies nationally, and resource movement building for global women’s rights. Previously as Vice President of Development at Global Fund for Women, a public foundation promoting women’s and girls rights around the world, she led the organization to record-breaking grantmaking in service to its mission. Before her transition to the nonprofit sector, Chandra was in private banking and served in the U.S. diplomatic corps where she worked on environmental issues. Chandra earned her undergraduate degree at Columbia. She also holds CFRE, MBA, and PhD qualifications.
